I kept looking at the dashboard and it dropped gradually to 0km (i.e. ---- as shown in the dashboard picture). I switched off the aircon (U couldn't imagine how it's like without aircon in the tunnel!), drove at a steady speed to avoid exhausting the tank completely. I was quite scared cos the nearest gas station is a few km ahead. Luckily I managed to arrive the gas station!!! What a relieve!

MacBook Pro - My New Toy

This MacBook Pro arrived my office on Wednesday. I was so excited about it on that day that I opened the box and began charging it with a hope to start playing with it right away when I get home. But unfortunately I didn't have time to play with it until today, though I'm very excited!

This is the very first time I use a Mac computer. User interface of Mac OS is pretty good. It just took me a little while to get used to this new environment. I'm so fuzzy that I configured different options to "personalize" it and also install Windows 7 under a virtual machine environment 'cos I've to continue using Quicken in Windows.

This 17" laptop is unbeatable except that it's actually quite heavy if one is to carry it around.

Hong Kong Heritage Museum

I had lunch with a French guy yesterday after a meeting with him in my office. He told me that he brought his daughters with him to visit the Shanghai Expo and then came to Hong Kong for a few meetings. During his stay in Hong Kong these few days, he has brought his daughters to visit the Hong Kong Heritage Museum in Shatin. I immediately found the conversation very interesting 'cos as a resident in Shatin for ages, I've never been to the museum and have no such intention to pay a visit.

When we travel overseas, we normally will pack a lot of sightseeing and visit different museums, churches ...etc. But why don't we explore the neighbourhood in Hong Kong first? Interesting!

Salad Lunch in Office

Because of an interesting miscommunication, I suddenly got a free lunch time-slot today. So I went downstairs to buy some salad, a super plain bread and some soup (should I? Would soup be too much!?) for lunch.  It’s a good combination ‘cos I really realize that I need to be very cautious on what I eat and I need to exercise. Not exercise more but to exercise ‘cos I seldom do that. I’ll see if I can grab my buddy Denis who lives very close to my home to exercise together every weekend – mid year resolution!

You've Got Mail

Back to office this morning with a cup of Cappuccino. First thing to do was to switch on the computer which took forever as usual. Thousands of email and stuff on the table are waiting for me. Just replied some important email and then had a good meeting with a colleague in preparation for an important meeting. And time flies. We went downstairs to buy salad to-go. Now sitting in the office to enjoy a quick and peaceful lunch after which I’ll be clearing up the backlog before meetings in the afternoon … really need to be quick and go home asap today after work ‘cos I’m still suffering from jet-lag.

Good to be Home

The trip was a good one. Quite many interesting things happened, good conference, good workshop, good food, good weather, and met some new friends. Everything is good except the food served on the plane + the service (and stewardess) quality, and the fact that I slept for just 2 hours in each of the flight … zzzZZZzzz … Otherwise, I am happy.

It’s so nice to be back to the place which I am most familiar on earth.
The trip was a good one. Quite many interesting things happened, good conference, good workshop, good food, good weather, and met some new friends.
